They played most of the songs from their most recent album In the Mountain, In the Cloud which you can stream below. Personal faves include "So American" and "Floating"

It's got a nice rhythm and some interesting lyrics backed by a looped clap sample that will have you hitting replay immediately. They've got a new album, Nightlife, coming out in November that you can stream now from their Facebook page.

This Puerto Rican band has really got something going here. The video for "Tu"( below) is what grabbed my attention. The song is exactly what I'd like to listen to at a house party on a chilly fall night; it's got that nostalgic lo-fi humdrum that's just the right Tenderfoothttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01717353087300032935noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4334368767213121701.post-22240207622791454182011-10-13T06:30:00.000-07:002011-10-24T08:11:15.214-07:00The Givers debut album In Light came out in June and they have been all over the place ever since. Their MySpace page describes them as”Afro-beat / Folk Rock / Italian Pop” and I’d say that’s about right. There is definitely a Vampire Weekend vibe there and I like it. They’ve got some feel good tunes across the whole album.
